  1. Day 1 · Thu 24 Dec

    Arrive and meet the group

    Reach Weligama and check in. The group meets for a meet and greet, then heads out together to Cafe Scenic Rooftop, to get to know each other. The surfing starts the next morning.

    Plan your flight and the drive to Weligama around the meet and greet. Getting from the airport isn't in the price; we can plan it once the whole group is fixed and the timings are known.

  2. Day 2 · Fri 25 DecChristmas Day

    Christmas in the water

    Christmas Day starts with a surf session in the morning and another in the evening, timed to the surf. Between them the time is free. In the evening, a Christmas party at the Tiki Bar.

  3. Days 3 to 6 · 26 to 29 Dec

    Twice a day in the sea

    Two sessions a day out in the sea, whenever the surf is best. Salt in your hair, sun on your back, and the whole group shouting when someone catches a good one. After each surf, a king coconut and a beachside bed to stretch out on with the group. On one day your surfing is filmed and talked through with you.

  4. Day 7 · Wed 30 Dec

    Out to sea, then Hiriketiya

    An early check-out from Weligama and the drive to Mirissa, for a morning at sea on a private boat: whale and dolphin watching, a go at deep-sea fishing, and a swim in the open ocean. Back on land by noon, then on to Hiriketiya to check in, settle in and explore.

    Whales and dolphins are wild, so a sighting is never promised. The boat goes out only if the sea allows.

  5. Day 8 · Thu 31 DecNew Year's Eve

    A new beach, then New Year's Eve

    The last day of the year starts with a surf session on a different beach: Hiriketiya's horseshoe-shaped bay. In the evening, out to a New Year's Eve party nearby.

    New Year's Day, slowly

    A late start after the night before. The rest of New Year's Day is free, to spend around Hiriketiya and explore with the group.

    Check out, back to Colombo

    Breakfast, then check out from Hiriketiya and the drive back to Colombo, where the trip ends.
